Amazon Opens World’s Largest Office In India After US

The American company Amazon has inaugurated its proprietary office building in India which is the largest campus in the world. The campus is spread over 9.5 acres. The office has been built in Hyderabad as India is an important market and talent hub for the company. Outside the US, this is Amazon’s only office to employ around 62,000 employees. The staff facility will be taken care of on this campus.

Along with the work on the Amazon, the campus started in India, the convenience of the employees will also be kept in mind so that they do not have any problem during the work. Amazon’s special thing is that it often monitors the basic facilities of its employees. It has 18 lakh square feet of office space and is built on an area of ​​3 million square feet. Amazon laid the foundation stone of this campus on March 30, 2016.

In 2014, Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos announced an investment of $ 2 billion to beat domestic competitors Flipkart and Paytm in India. After this, this US company has so far invested more than $ 4 billion in the country and has become the largest hub of e-commerce. Spread in a space of 4 lakh sq ft at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport Hyderabad, the company has its Fulfillment Center, which is the largest Amazon center in India. It is planned to expand the area to 5.8 lakh sq ft by 2020. It has used a variety of facilities ranging from destination control systems to elevators carrying 972 people at a time, 290 conference rooms and 3 locations for people to gather on each floor.
