Chinese Army Encroaches Indian Border

BJP MP from Arunachal Pradesh Tapir Gao on Wednesday alleged that the Chinese army had encroached on a remote village in Anjaw district of the state and built a bridge over a river. Gao claimed that the Chinese army infiltrated Indian territory last month and built a bridge over Kiyomaru Nallah of Chagalgam Circle. Some youths had informed about this bridge on Tuesday.

Gao said, “Chalgam has a north-eastern part of about 25 km and much of it falls within Indian territory.” The MP’s claim has been rejected by the army spokesman. He said that these areas are claimed by both the countries and soldiers from both sides come on regular patrol. Apart from this, common people hunt and gather herbs here in the summer season. There is no permanent presence of Chinese soldiers and civilians in the region.

Last year, the army of both the countries faced in this area.

Gao told reporters, “As the representative of the state, I request the Center to develop infrastructure in the area bordering the Sino-Indo border. The road should be constructed between Chaulgam and Anjav’s district headquarters Hiuliang. The road between these two areas is worse. In October last year, Indian Army patrols encountered Chinese troops in the area.

China calls Arunachal Pradesh as southern Tibet

India and China share a border of about 4000 km with each other. This limit is unclear. For this reason, the forces on both sides have been violating each other’s border. China has been claiming the whole of Arunachal Pradesh and calls it Southern Tibet.
