Modi with 5 Crore Followers, Only Indian in Top-20; Obama Tops with 10.8 Crore

The number of Twitter followers of Prime Minister Narendra Modi increased to 50 million on Monday. Modi is at number 20 in the list of most followers. He is the only Indian to reach the top-20. Among the top leaders of the world, Modi is now behind 1.4 million followers from US President Donald Trump. Former US President Barack Obama ranks first with 108 million followers. The number of followers of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) official Twitter account has crossed 3 crore. Modi joined Twitter on January 2009. He was then the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Modi’s fame on Twitter has risen more since he became Prime Minister in 2014.

Kejriwal is second in India after Modi

Among Indian leaders, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is second after Modi. His followers are more than 10 million 54 lakhs. While Home Minister Amit Shah is at number three. His followers are more than 12.5 million. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is at number four with 1 crore 41 lakh followers. At the same time, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi is at number five in this list. Rahul has 1 crore 6 lakh followers.

Modi was ranked third in the International Survey 2018

In an international survey last year, Modi joined three of the world’s biggest leaders. The annual survey was conducted by Gallup International with leaders from 50 countries. ┬áModi was ranked third in the survey. German Chancellor Angela Merkel was first and French President Emmanuel Macron was second.
